One of my and Denise Anderson’s goals as leaders in our denomination is that Presbyterians (and everyone) would be more comfortable talking about race.

A Church for Starving Artists 
Having lived and worked in California all of my life, having been around a very diverse group of people, I was shocked when we took our daughter to college in Oregon and would go into restaurants and shops and see NO people of of color. I would sit in restaurants, looking around and feeling so odd, then it would hit me: it’s all white people! This was in the late 90s. We will return to Oregon in late June and I will see if it’s still the same.
